Lowell B. Garverick

    Lowell Garverick was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, but he grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio and attended grade school and high school there.  He attended college at The Ohio State University and received both his bachelor's (1953 B.S.Ed.) and law degree (1959 J.D.) there.  

           Prior to his move to Galion in 1966, Lowell served as an officer with the U. S. Air Force in Europe, as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio, and as a claims attorney for Grange Mutual Casualty Company in Columbus, Ohio.

           In the past, Lowell has been active in the following:  Jaycees, Civitan, Kiwanis, Grange (Capital Grange - Master in 1965), Pomona Grange, member of the Crawford County Counseling Center Board and Peace Lutheran Church Council.  He was a director of the Ohio Bar Liability Insurance Corporation (OBLIC, from 1979 - 1989).

           Lowell currently is a member of the American Legion, Galion Elks, the Ohio State Bar Foundation, The Crawford County Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association.  He served on the Executive Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association from 1975 to 1978.  He served as a member of its Council of Delegates from 1971 to 1972.  He has also served on its Family Law and Negligence Law Committees.  He is a past President of The Crawford County Bar Association.
